PolicyGuard privacy notice
Effective: 4 August 2026
What the extension processes
PolicyGuard reads the public page you ask it to analyze and public legal-policy pages on the same website. It does not intentionally read passwords, payment fields, messages, or private browsing history.
Anonymous checks
The API stores the score and limited result metadata for service quality and same-category benchmarks. Full policy-page text is not retained for anonymous checks.
Policy Vault
Saving policy text is off by default and requires you to select the Vault option for a scan. Screenshots require a separate click. Vault evidence is separated by account. You can export or delete a saved website or your account.
Security and retention
Authentication secrets are redacted from application logs. Session tokens expire. Evidence storage is quota-limited. Account deletion removes private database evidence and stored files; encrypted infrastructure backups may remain for their limited backup-retention period.
Your choices
You can use basic analysis without an account, avoid screenshots, export Vault data, remove individual websites, or delete your account. Use the report feedback control for privacy questions or requests during this pre-release period.
This notice must be completed with the operator identity, direct privacy contact, subprocessors, international-transfer details, and jurisdiction-specific rights before public store release.
